Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 31 August 2026 Effective Date: 31 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of blogs.mobilebytesensei.com ("this site"), operated by MobileByteSensei, an independent software studio based in India.

By reading this site you accept these terms. If you disagree with them, please stop using the site.

2. What this site is

A technical publication. We write about software engineering — mobile and multiplatform development, architecture, tooling, and the practical problems we hit while building and shipping our own applications.

The site is free. There is no account, no subscription, no paywall, and no purchase of any kind.

3. Editorial nature and no professional advice

Articles here describe our own experience with specific systems at specific points in time. They are written to be useful, not authoritative.

Nothing on this site is professional advice. Code, configuration, commands, and architectural opinions are provided for illustration. Software changes; an approach that worked for us may be wrong, outdated, or actively harmful in your context.

You are responsible for evaluating anything you take from this site before applying it. Test it. Read the upstream documentation. Do not run commands you do not understand against systems you care about — particularly anything that deletes data, alters credentials, or touches production.

4. Our content

Unless a page states otherwise, the articles, text, and images on this site are the intellectual property of MobileByteSensei and are protected by copyright.

You may: read, share links to, and quote reasonably short excerpts for commentary, criticism, news reporting, teaching, or research, provided you attribute MobileByteSensei and link back to the original article.

You may not: republish articles in full, present our writing as your own, or use our content to train a commercial machine-learning model without written permission.

Code samples shown in articles may be used freely in your own projects, with no attribution required and no warranty of any kind.

5. Third-party content

Articles link to external websites, documentation, repositories, and tools. Those resources are not ours. We do not control them, do not endorse them by linking, and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices.

Third-party names, trademarks, and logos mentioned in articles belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only.

6. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting infrastructure;
  • interfere with the site's operation, including by automated overload;
  • scrape the site in a manner that degrades service for other readers;
  • use the site for any unlawful purpose.

Normal reading, linking, and ordinary feed-reader access are all welcome.

7. Availability

This site is provided on a best-effort basis. We make no commitment to uptime, to keeping any particular article published, or to preserving any URL. Articles may be corrected, updated, or withdrawn at any time without notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THIS SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, current, or free of error, or that the site will be uninterrupted or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOBILEBYTESENSEI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SITE OR ANYTHING YOU LEARN FROM IT — INCLUDING DAMAGE ARISING FROM APPLYING CODE OR TECHNIQUES DESCRIBED HERE.

Because this site is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to it shall not exceed INR 1,000.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages; in those places, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted, and your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MobileByteSensei from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your misuse of this site or your breach of these terms.

11. Privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: this site collects nothing about you.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of this site.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose law guarantees you the protection of your local courts and mandatory consumer rules, nothing here deprives you of that protection.

Before any formal proceeding, we would much rather you simply emailed us. Most disagreements about a technical article are resolved by a correction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The Last Updated date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
